Please read these Terms and Conditions of Sale carefully and in full, as they contain important information about your rights and obligations.

General

The customer accepts these Terms and Conditions of Sale when an order is placed with Ren Studio.

IKEA is a registered trademark of Inter-IKEA Systems B.V. and is not affiliated with Ren Studio.

These Terms and Conditions constitute a binding Agreement between the you, (“the Customer” “you”) Ren Studio Pty Ltd (Ren Studio). Ren Studio reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove parts of these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is the Customer’s responsibility to check these conditions periodically for changes.

Ren Studio does not warrant that quality, suitability or usage of our products conform to your expectations.

Ren Studio is not liable for any damages or any costs incurred by the customer because of typographical errors or outdated information on this website.

Our products

We take considerable effort to represent our products online as they appear in real life. As our product images will be viewed through a device or computer screen, we cannot guarantee the colour you view on your screen is accurate.

Our products are made to order and finished to exacting standards. As minor colour variations occur in paint and tint batches, we cannot guarantee absolute colour consistency in our products.  Similarly, our samples are indicative and should be used as a guide only, as the finished product colour may vary slightly from the sample.

Timber (including plywood) is a natural product and may exhibit variations in texture, shade, colour, surface, finish, markings, veining, and contain natural fissures, occlusions, and indentations. This is a characteristic of the product and not considered a fault. Ren Studio plywood is classified as ‘Multiply’, meaning it has more laminations and is therefore more rigid than other plywood on the market. Essentially, we use the strongest, best plywood we can source, and finish it a way that limits the potential for warping and bowing of the plywood over time. Notwithstanding the above, Ren Studio offers no warranty to cover warping or bowing of plywood doors and panels.

Our products are based on the standard sizes of IKEA’s cabinetry system.  All drawings, dimensions, samples, descriptive matter and specifications are intended as a guide only. Ren Studio reserves the right to change, alter or modify the design, dimensions, construction or costing of any item without prior written notice.

From time to time, some design options may not be available due to circumstances beyond our control. If your selected product is unavailable, we will contact you to discuss alternatives.

Whilst our paint finishes are applied by professionals to high standards, they are applied by hand and accordingly very minor imperfections may occur. Such imperfections are not considered defects.

Quotations and Orders

An order confirmation will be forwarded to you in acknowledgement of receipt of your order. This document supersedes all prior correspondence in relation to your order (verbal, written, graphic or otherwise). We will proceed with your order, as per the order confirmation, unless we receive written notification of any requested changes within 24 hours.

Modifications to products outside the standard specifications are possible. All requests for modifications must be submitted in writing and are subject to Ren Studio’s approval. Additional lead time and surcharge may apply.

Once your order has been confirmed any request for subsequent changes must be sent in writing. No guarantee can be given that the requested change can be made. Further, any variation or cancellation agreed to by Ren Studio may incur additional costs.

Price and payment

All prices are shown in Australian Dollars and include 10% Goods and Services Tax.

Ren Studio reserves the right to change the prices on the website at any time and correct any pricing errors that may occur.

Full payment is required at time of ordering.

Ren Studio is entitled to charge a credit card fee to applicable transactions. The fee is calculated by multiplying the order amount by the prevailing rate applied by Ren Studio from time to time on credit card transactions involving the relevant credit card type. The fee is payable at the same time as the amount in relation to which the fee is charged.

For payments via PayPal, PayPal’s terms of use apply to the transaction and the customer accepts and agrees to PayPal’s terms and conditions for payment services.

Timeframes

Our joinery products are made to order and shipped in accordance with lead times provided in the 'Frequently Asked Questions' section of the website.

If you have concerns about timeframes, please contact us for current lead time estimates. Whilst we always make every effort to achieve nominated timeframes, the lead times we provide are estimates, not guarantees, and are subject to change without prior notice.  Delays do not constitute a breach of contract and Ren Studio is in no way liable for any resulting damages. In the event of a delay, clients are notified as quickly as possible.

October to December is considered our peak period and clients should expect orders placed in this time to take longer.

If the order is delayed for any reason, Ren Studio will not compensate any costs, lost earnings or for tradespeople hired. Generally, Ren Studio will not be held responsible for any damage arising from the estimated delivery time having been exceeded.

If inventory products (e.g. some handle ranges) are ordered at the same time as made-to-order products, the longer delivery time applies, though the products may be sent separately.

Delivery

We use third-party carriers for the delivery of our products to clients. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree that delivery will be handled by these third-party carriers.

Whilst we endeavour to deliver to every Australian address, we are limited by the reach of our third-party shipping partners. Please contact us if you live in a rural or remote area before placing your order.

Delivery times will be arranged with you once goods are ready for despatch. As a third-party delivery service is used, Ren Studio is unable to confirm delivery dates in advance.  Delivery times should always be understood to be an estimate and Ren Studio will not be held responsible for delays by the shipping company.

Standard delivery covers a single delivery at ground level during normal weekday delivery hours.

Prior to delivery, please provide us with full written details of any difficulty to access e.g. stairs, delivery dock, lift etc. We reserve the right to charge additional costs for unusual access not advised in writing.

Deliveries will be made to the main entrance of your building or as near as a delivery truck can get. They will not be carried indoors, if not specifically agreed in writing. Small packages are delivered to your home door.

Client orders are typically delivered in large, very heavy crates. For the safety of our clients and suppliers, these crates should not be moved by hand under any circumstances. We strongly recommend using appropriate equipment and professional services for moving and handling these crates.

Ren Studio will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury that results from the delivery or inappropriate handling of the heavy crates in which your orders are delivered. This includes, but is not limited to, any physical injuries or property damage that may occur.

Returns

As our products are made to order, no returns or refunds can be issued on the basis of an incorrect order or change of mind.

Ren Studio at times holds a small amount of inventory products (e.g. some handles and knobs). Returns are available on these products provided the items are returned to Ren Studio at the customer’s cost, the items are unused and the original packaging is undamaged.  Customcoat handles are sprayed per job and cannot be returned.

We are unable to refund for goods damaged through wear and tear.

Upon receipt of your delivery, you are required to inspect the packaging and report any visible damage to the delivery company before they leave your premises, as visible damage indicates potential damage to the products. If damage to the products has occurred, the Customer is required to take clear, descriptive photos of both the damaged packaging and product and email them to us at info@renstudio.com.au within 3 days of delivery. We will contact you on receipt of the evidence of damage.

Installation

Ren Studio recommends professional installation of flat packed joinery in every instance. Installation of Ren Studio products is the sole responsibility of the Customer and Ren Studio will not be responsible for any damage or loss the Customer suffers or incurs in connection with the installation of Ren Studio products.

Ren Studio is not liable for any damages or costs that may occur in conjunction with installation and general use of Ren Studio products.

Suggestions by Ren Studio of tradespeople or installers may at times be made, and if the Customer engages any such person, it does so independently of Ren Studio and on the basis that the person is a contractor or sub-contractor to the Customer.

The Customer should make and rely upon the Customer’s own enquiries as to the skills and experience of any tradesperson or installer suggested by the Ren Studio, including whether the person is appropriately licensed to undertake the work. Ren Studio expressly disclaims any and all liability to Customer arising from any reliance the Customer places on Ren Studio suggestion.

Ren Studio makes no warranty, promise or representation to the Customer or anyone claiming through the Customer with respect to trades work conducted in connection with Ren Studio products or advice.

Advice

We appreciate the design process can be complex. If you are having trouble working out what to order, please email us with your query.  We will offer as much assistance as we can, however the sole responsibility for the design of the space and subsequent order rests with the customer.

We provide depersonalised professional interior design advice to empower our clients to design the very best spaces they can. The advice and information contained on this website is general in nature and does not take into account your personal situation or design requirements. You should consider whether the information is appropriate to your needs, and where appropriate, seek professional advice from a qualified tradesperson. 

Prior to entering into a transaction, a renovation or taking any particular course of action in connection with your project, you should make your own enquiries and seek independent professional advice from qualified tradespeople, tailored to your specific circumstances and objectives.

Whilst all material and information on the website and information communicated to you via the website is provided in good faith and is believed to be accurate and current as at the date of publication, Ren Studio provides no guarantee that any material or information on the website, linked websites or information communicated to you will be accurate or complete. Ren Studio does not grant any licence or right in, or assign all or part of its intellectual property rights in any instance.

You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, rent, lease, sell, transfer, display, transmit, compile or collect in a database, or in any manner commercially exploit any part of the Ren Studio website content or our services in whole or in part unless expressly authorised by Ren Studio or the relevant third party owner.

Ren Studio values privacy and will not sell your personal information or contact details onto any other parties. We however may email you our newsletter from time to time with special offers and/or new products of ours that become available. If you wish for this not to happen, please let us know and we will remove your details from our mailing list.

DESIGN CONSULTATIONS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Ren Studio provides a service which connects end users with Australian interior designers and presents the design consultations to both the client and designer in good faith.  Notwithstanding this, no background checks are conducted on the designers and Ren Studio in no way warrants that the consultation will meet your expectations. Clients are wholly responsible for the decision whether to engage the designer and to whether the designer’s skillset is appropriate for the advice sought during the consultation.

By purchasing a design consultation, you acknowledge that the agreement for services is made between you and The Designer providing the consultation, and that Ren Studio is not a party to any dealings between you and The Designer. Ren Studio does not warrant that the consultation will meet your expectations and/or requirements, and any engagement between you and The Designer is undertaken at your sole discretion and risk. Ren Studio shall not be responsible for loss, harm or damage or any kind resulting from the engagement with The Designer.

Disputes

Advice and/or suggestions provided during the consultation are of a general nature only. Neither Ren Studio nor The Designer will be responsible or in any way liable for projects as neither party has executed the design nor managed the construction implementation in any way. Appropriately licensed trades and builders must be engaged by the Client in every instance to confirm suitability for all suggestions prior to execution or ordering.

Any dispute that arises because of advice given in the consultation is solely between client and designer, and Ren Studio has no obligation to and will not intervene in the dispute.  You agree to and shall indemnify and hold harmless Ren Studio, its employees, contractors, service providers, vendors, and/or agents, from and against any and all claims, actions, demands, liabilities, losses, damages, expenses, and legal costs.

Cancellations

You may cancel a consultation within 48 hours of the invoice being paid, and receive a full refund.  Requests for cancellation after this period will be considered, however a refund is not guaranteed as designers have allocated billable time to the consultation in good faith.  If you request cancellation of the consultation within 72 hours of the agreed appointment, a refund will not be issued.

Intellectual Property

By purchasing a design consultation you agree the ideas, advice and suggestions provided to you by The Designer may be used by Ren Studio and related parties without attribution or royalty payment to you and for any purpose.
